NORFOLK - The sale of a parcel of land in the city's Riverview section that will become a condominium development has been completed.
The 1.35-acre tract at the southeast corner of Granby Street, near the foot of the Granby Bridge, was sold by Richard Levin to Axis Development. The $1 million deal, which was reported several months ago, recently closed.

The parcel is the planned site for 27 luxur y condominium homes, now in the pre-sale stage, to be developed by Axis. The development is expected to have garden-style condominiums with ground-level parking and multi level homes on top. It also would include deeded boat slips along the Lafayette River.
"We've had tremendous interest in these homes due to the ! strategic location on the river and the inclusion of boat slips in the offering," Tony Collins, president of Axis Development, said in a news release from Advantis. "We currently have pre-sold 15 homes."
The development project, named Tanners Landing, is scheduled to break ground in late August, with completion scheduled in May 2006. The condominium homes will range in price from $375,000 to $650,000.
