In this time of uncertain housing prices, many buyers are turning to condominiums. Some sellers are even offering interesting incentives to attract potential buyers.
The good old days of condo hunters scrambling to get the best deals are over. A quick scan through Craigslist's "real estate for sale" reveals a totally different market than was found even a couple of years ago. Sellers are offering incentives such as a week's stay at a resort in the Cayman Islands, a brand new set of golf clubs, use of a moving truck, massages, gym memberships, free dinners just for looking are just a few of the incentives out there.
Some estimates are that more than half of condo sellers are offering incentives. Some include no closing costs or a period of time without paying association fees. Many are offering the fun freebies.
Giveaways include plasma TV or upgrades to hardwood floors. How about a two year lease on a BMW Z4 Roadster? Some sellers will even provide a home stager that will come to your old home and help you get it ready to sell by rearranging furniture and removing clutter.
Many sellers are offering a chance to win electronics such as iPods or iPhones, laptop computers and surround sound for their TVs.
Sometimes the reward is smaller. A seller was giving everyone who viewed a condo a Starbuck's gift card.
